I’m a cartographer and designer based in Los Angeles.

I’ve been interested in maps for as long as I can remember, initially as a way to explore the mountains of Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. That interest eventually led me to GIS, first through a college course and later a certificate program at UCLA. I spent several years making technical maps for a transportation analytics company, but I’ve always been interestd in the visual side of cartography as well.

Working on family history books with Small Audience Books brought it all together. It’s where I found a way to combine historical research, geography and graphic design to tell stories about people and places.

When I’m not mapping, I’m usually reading, running or trying to perfect my sourdough :)

Have a project in mind? I’d love to hear about it.
